Selfless Esteem LLC (“company,” “I,” “me,” “we,” or “us”) provides information in the field of self-improvement, strengthening personal relationships, and parenting support. Our website address is: https://ginaleggio.com and is referred to as the “Site.” The term “you” is anyone who views, visits, or uses the Site or uses any product from the Site. The information on the Site is not intended to replace the services of a medical professional or mental health provider. Participation in this site does not constitute the establishment of a professional-client relationship.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the Site, and we reserve the right to change it at any time without notice. This Privacy Policy governs your access to and use of the Site, including any content, functionality and services. This Privacy Policy is legally binding.  By viewing or using the Site and/or by using any product, course or service from us, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

We understand the importance of privacy and we make your privacy a priority. We do not sell or trade your personal information.

As a visitor to the Site, you can participate in most activities without providing any personal information. We collect information you provide to us directly.  This includes information you provide when you receive any free or purchased products, courses or services from us; sign up to receive any emails; comment on any posts on the Site or social media platform; register for courses or other activities; fill out any forms; access memberships; sign up to become our affiliate partner; respond to a survey or submit a review; participate in a contest; or contact us through any other means, including an online form, message, phone call, mail, or email.  

This Site uses SiteGround Host, which has servers in various places, such as Iowa, Eemshaven, London, Chicago, Amsterdam and Singapore. As a result, some of your personal information may be collected, used, transferred, maintained, disclosed and stored within the United States and internationally. The Site is intended for people, who are at least 18 years of age or older. By using the Site, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or older. Correspondence

Selfless Esteem, LLC, may post on the Site any content in any of your emails, mail, and correspondence to Selfless Esteem LLC when you ask for my opinion. I strongly urge you to change any names in your email and mail to fictitious names. The email I use is unencrypted; therefore, it is not a secure medium of communication. Do not send personal, sensitive information to me and Selfless Esteem LLC through email. If you choose to do so, it is at your own risk. You agree that I am not liable for any consequences that happen after the posting of the content of any of your emails, mail and my response. I may retain the content of your emails together with your email address and the email thread of responses. I do not sell, rent or trade email addresses with third parties.

What data we collect and why we collect it

The Site collects two kinds of information about you: (a) Personal Data; and (b) Non-Personal Data.

a. Personal Data. Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Personal Data we may collect includes:

i. Identification and Contact Data: name, date of birth, gender, address, title, contact details, username, email address, telephone number, or other demographic information;

ii. Financial Information: credit card details, account details, payment information, billing address, optional account information like username and password;

iv. Purchase history, social media profile information.

You may decline to provide Personal Data to the Site. However, some of the Personal Data we ask you to provide is mandatory for a service. If you decline to provide it, we may not be able to provide that service to you.

b. Non-Personal Data. Non-Personal Data is any information not relating to an identifiable person. Non-Personal Data we may collect includes:

i. Browser and Device Data: device type, unique user device number, device manufacturer and model, type of browser or operating system, dates and times of use, and location.

ii. Cookies and Tracking Technologies: time spent on the Site, pages visited, products you’ve viewed and email campaign performance.

v. Show you products you’ve recently viewed.

We also may use your personal and non-personal data to enforce Terms and Conditions of the Site and other agreements.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment or a review, the comment or review and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

For all other information collected, it is retained for the time period needed for business purposes or until you request a deletion. We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

Cookies

While using the Site, you may provide certain personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, IP address, time spent at the Site, pages viewed, date and time of visits to the Site, the websites visited just before or just after the Site, or demographic data gathered through the use of cookies.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

Who we share your data with

This Site uses reCAPTCHA, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

By accessing or using the reCAPTCHA APIs, you agree to the Google APIs Terms of Use, Google Terms of Use, and to the additional terms below. According to reCAPTCHA terms of service, you acknowledge and understand that the reCAPTCHA API works by collecting hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sending this data to Google for analysis. The information collected will be used for improving reCAPTCHA and for general security purposes. It will not be used for personalized advertising by Google. Your use of this Site indicates that you consent to the collection and sharing of this data with Google.

We may share your data with cloud delivery services and fraud prevention services.

We may share your information with government agencies, courts, regulators and law enforcement to comply with applicable laws and regulations or a legally binding process, or in response to subpoenas, warrants, government inquiries or investigations, and court orders.  We may also share your information (i) to establish, exercise, protect or enforce our legal rights and the legal rights of our agents, employees and affiliates, (ii) to defend against a legal claim, (iii) to protect you, us or third parties against injury, interference, fraud or harm or (iv) to take action related to potentially illegal activities. 

We may share your information, such as the purchase total and billing information, with payment processors, such as those we use to collect and process payment for any products you purchase, namely Stripe.

We may share your information with technology service providers.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Like many other websites, we collect information for the purpose of service usage analytics through Google Analytics. We keep analytics data for the duration needed for business purposes.

How we protect your data

We employ commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information; however, no system is 100% secure. We cannot and do not guarantee that personal information you transmit will remain secure from any misuse or interception.  By consenting to this Privacy Policy, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee that your personal information will be protected from misuse or interception by third parties. If you create an account on the Site, you are responsible for protecting the security of your account, its content, and all activities that occur under the account or in connection with the Site. What data breach procedures we have in place

If there are any data breaches, we will notify you within 72 hours. We will mobilize our breach response team immediately to quickly secure our systems and fix vulnerabilities in order to prevent additional data loss.

Articles on the Site may include embedded content, such as videos, images, and articles, as well as links to third-party websites. Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. Comments

When you leave a comment on our Site, your comment will be publicly available to other visitors of the Site.

When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and we also collect the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

We reserve the right to remove any comment that we determine to be unlawful, inappropriate, offensive or otherwise objectionable or undesirable or in violation of intellectual property laws. We also reserve the right to remove unlawful, obscene, inappropriate or otherwise objectionable or undesirable shares or comments on our social media channels.

Newsletter

If you choose to opt-in to our email newsletter, you may opt-out at any time by contacting us at contact@ginaleggio.com or clicking the unsubscribe button in the email. Our newsletter is managed through an email service called Brevo. Please see the Brevo privacy policy for details of their privacy policy. Your full name and email address is collected through a contact form. If you choose to receive any free resources, register for courses, or purchase any products, you will automatically be enrolled in our newsletter. As mentioned, you can opt-out anytime by contacting us at contact@ginaleggio.com or clicking the unsubcribe button in the email. We do not sell, rent or trade the email list with anyone.

Media

If you upload images to the Site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included because visitors to the Site can download and extract any location data from the images.

Social Media

Sharing options are available on this website for your social media accounts. Social media sites, i.e. Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, etc., can track your personal information. If you choose to interact with us on social media, then you are voluntarily disclosing that personal information, which then can be collected and used by others. We have no control over and take no responsibility for other people’s use, storage or dissemination of your publicly disclosed information. Your interactions with us through social media do not subject us to any kind of liability related to misuse of your information by others.

Use of privacy laws in the United States

The Site is intended for use in the United States. By using the Site, you acknowledge and agree that the collection, use, transfer, maintenance, disclosure and storage of your personal information, browsing information and communications related to or arising out of your use of this website is governed by the applicable laws in the United States.  

Do not track

As required by the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA), we are notifying you that our system cannot recognize browser “Do No Track” signals.
